The Full Oma Update From Mom.

After spending Sat-Wednesday in the ER, hospital and back to the nursing home with Oma, I am finally back to work letting the sisters who came in last night take a turn at visiting. John summed it up so well on his site, ” Life on January 12, 2010

Oma Update.

So here’s the rumpus.
Saturday Oma had a stroke. More accurately a TIA.
After a few days of not responding to any tests or stimuli and not swallowing anything and all signs pointing towards her passing in a few days. Oma woke up last night, ate and then TALKED!
Mom has been there with her around the clock since it happened. Sang to her and she responded.
Damndest thing I’ve ever heard of.
Turns out she DOES have a touch of pneumonia so they are looking after that.
Everything is extra toppings now. But it gives the family time to get down and see her, hopefully everything will stay good and we can get V up to see her this weekend. She recognizes the names of her children but had no idea who Mom was. At least we can get her out of the damn hospital.
