The Greatest Man I Ever Knew
Spent Saturday at the Uncle Keith’s watching the Giants-Pats Superbowl [Giants won again. =-)] and scanning family photos. I love going through these photos and remembering these people or learning about them when they were young. Lots of stories here.
But this first batch is all dedicated to the greatest man I ever knew. My Grandpa, Tony Mangino.
There are 3 really important men that had and still have a huge influence on me. My Grandpa, my Dad and my Uncle Keith. I’ll get into Dad and Uncle Keith later but Grandpa is the pinnacle. Since I was a kid and more-so as I have grown up, he is the archetype of the man I want to be. Not to say he was perfect, that’s not what a role model or leader is about, but he makes me want to be better than I am just through being who he was.
With the exception of my Mom, who is a whole other kettle of greatness, I don’t hold myself up on a daily basis to a brighter light than Grandpa.
I miss him something awful.
My Parent’s Wedding
My Uncle Keith brought some great family pics to our last Sunday dinner. Here are some great pics from my Mom and Dad’s wedding.

SHARK!!, originally uploaded by Johnny (Through The Patch).
Ok, so V is now trying to eat EVERYTHING! Her head just spins around looking for the next bit she can shove in her face.
Hands are her favorite. If you hold her or just put your hand anywhere near her she will grab it and she will chew and slobber all over it.
Adorably disturbing.
Egg & onion sandwich
Egg & onion sandwhich, originally uploaded by Johnny (Through The Patch).
My favorite sandwich!
The Original:
Brown a chopped onion in butter.
Crack two eggs over it. Break the yolks.
Salt n’ Pepper.
Serve on toasted white bread. (I prefer non-toasted)
The Classic:
Same as above except with chopped up dried beef.
Either Armour chipped beef (the classic) or Knauss dried beef.
The Overdone:
Same as the classic except with a handful of shredded cheddar on top at the end. Cover it with a pot top and throw and ice cube in the pan to steam it.
