Bath time has evolved quite a bit since that first terrifying bath a year ago.
We always did a tag team bath time until the last 2 or 3 months when it became more “Mommy time”. However, pre-bath is all Daddy. V’s new favorite ritual is watching Daddy fill the tub. She gets so excited to tip toe in and watch the tub fill with water. She points at everything in the bathroom for her “roll-call” routine.
point. “Shampoo”.
point. “Water”.
point. “Shampoo”.
point. “Trash can”.
point. “Water”.
point. “Shampoo”.
etc, etc.

Once the water gets high enough for her to reach in both hands and splash a bit, I say ‘ok, know what time it is?’ and she does her little dance because it’s NAKED BABY time!
Back in Mommy and Daddy’s room, “Hands up.” shirt collar is hard to get over the giant head. “Leg one. Leg two” and then RIP-RIP (diaper tabs) yank NAKED BABEEEEEEEEEEEEEHHHHH!
She laughs as we march to Mommy in the bathroom singing (To the tune of the Hallelujah chorus)

She’s a baby.
And she’s naked.
And she’s got a squishy butt.

When I hand her off to Mommy she oh-so excited to get in the tub “we built”.

I am telling you it is the best way to end a day.

Of course when Mommy finishes the bath and brings her into her room to get dressed for bed she inevitably wiggles away and pees on the floor. But at that point Daddy is on the bed watching Monk so I’ll leave that story for Mommy.
