I'm just saying, we have a lot in the US. Don't get me wrong, that's a good thing, a great thing! The more, the better. I'm just thinking that maybe, we adults, could forgo some gifts we really don't need and put that money to a different kind of gift this year. Let's face it, no matter how hard they try, people can't read your mind. They don't know what you really want and probably couldn't afford it anyway. So let's skip the awkward re-gifting or lines at the return counter and maybe shift focus towards something a tad more...Christmas. I am referring to Heifer International. Heifer gives much needed livestock resources to third world farms and families. It's not just charity, it is investing in humanity. You can help make a family more self sufficient, independent and strong for the future.

Strong families build strong communities, which build strong nations.

So, perhaps instead of worrying about the 'war on Christmas' at the Mall we can take it upon ourselves to apply the true meaning of Christmas I keep hearing about - Celebrate with your family by helping some fellow human beings with the chance to stand on their own two feet and build a better life for their families.

I am not saying you have to. I am not saying you're not a good person if you don't. Just a suggestion.

Also, this is for adults. Kids should get presents. Lots of presents.
